What Cat Wore | Summer Stripes

 

The weather outside today is absolutely horrendous and I'm really not happy about this weather we're having, but alas I have high hopes for a scorching July and August to make up for this down pour. So to brighten things up a bit I thought I'd share yet another outfit I wore on holiday and have worn a couple of times since because it's very summery - and I love it!

 

 

This beauty of a dress if from none other than Primark. I'm really loving Primark at the minute and want a real splurge for my new work wardrobe since they have such lovely pieces at the moment. Stripes, florals, whatever... I just want all the pretty things they have! But this dress was a steal at £10! 

I love the colour scheme in this dress and it was my favourite on holiday thanks to being light and easy to wear. I love the neckline too since it's something a little new for me and though I like big chunky belts cinching my waist I quite like this dress's stringy belt tie. It's not normally for me, but it does make this dress simple and effortless to wear - which it is. I think adding any other belt would take away from the stripes and the colours anyway.

I wore this with a new red bag my lovely mum bought me and some chunky shoes. I wish I had some red or orange or blue sandals to go with this, but I don't mind having the black chunky heels with this outfit too much. It pulls the navy blue out anyway!

 

I wish it could be just a little bit warmer so that I can wear dresses like this more often! I hate having to pull out boots and tights still in JUNE!
