Looking back, I cringed at and just thought "WHY did you wear that!?". It's crazy that over a year your style can change so drastically and I think mine definitely has. I feel like I've really matured towards the end of the year and my transition out of retail has been a big influence in that. I feel it's decreased the pressure of being on trend and feeling the need to have the must-have of the season. Now I feel I'm dressing for myself, what makes me feel good and to what suits me rather than dressing to be a style icon at work and trying to sell a brand. In way I felt the need to dress for my blog posts too. Being a style blogger I felt to pressure of having to match up to other bloggers, and slowly but surely realised what I need to do to be true to myself as a blogger and learnt the importance of originality. Instead now when I'm shopping, I feel like I'm buying those must-have pieces that I truly love, and building my wardrobe up again to be stylish and on trend(ish) with a personal twist. Because of my realisation of all this I'm in a happy place with my style and it could only get better! I hope you liked this post and how about you check out 2014's round up too for fun? Here's to another year of style on What Cat Says ♥
